Taking stock of his musical loves a few years ago, Brisbane vocalist and songwriter Kieran T. Stevenson, let a mix of old and new favourites rise to the surface, ultimately finding solace in the hearty snares and synth bases of 80s pop gems.

Taking influence from artists such as Kate Miller-Heidke, Haim, Ben Folds, Joni Mitchell and Bleachers, as well as the bounty of 80s favourites such as David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, and Kate Bush, Kieran began writing new material and recording with Cody McWaters (Average Art Club, Fresco), whilst simultaneously spending 2014-2016 knuckling down on his studies in jazz voice at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Graduating mid 2016, Kieran's debut EP 'Go' was released soon after, alongside shows in Brisbane and Melbourne in support of the EP.

With shows in support of artists such as Emma Dean, Inigo, Cosmo Thundercat (ADL), and Landings, Kieran T. Stevenson commands the stage alongside his band (Joseph Rabjohns, Cody McWaters, Dean Strike, and Patrick Morwitch), to deliver a performance that is equally as emotive as it is striking, led by "Stevenson's assured vocal performance show[ing] impressive ability and restraint, his sustained falsetto the musical equivalent to fairy floss: sweet, soft, and weightless." Nightwoods

Brisbane’s brand new neo-psyche rock outfit led by singer songwriters Joel and Arielle Ralph, Nightwoods deftly mixes folk, grunge, and psyche / shoe gaze elements with classic '90s indie rock.

The bands sound translates a mix of Dope Lemon, Dandy Warhols, Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Black Angels and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.  Joel and Arielle's vocals add a distinct pop sensibility to the laid back guitar driven songs, blending perfectly to create a new approach to the folk / psyche / rock genre.

Husband and Wife, Joel and Arielle have been writing and recording their own material over the last couple of years and are now set to unveil their own blend of chill rock with their band Nightwoods.  Writing songs about chasing freedom, self expression, love, nature and the journey inward, they find the fine line between Joel’s heavier rock, grunge, city influences and Arielle’s acoustic, surfy, coastal rock sound.

Nightwoods will debut their first single “Wait For The Night” on the 2018 SEED Compilation album accompanied by a run of live shows.  Their EP will be released later this year. Perfect listening for a cabin retreat in the woods with red wine and dancing.
